Flower Power summer scarf!

Well, what should I say? I have summer vacation, but with the wind and rain it seems almost autumn holidays! But I’m free and I i’m already happy with that! But a summer scarf is now not an unnecessary luxury and today, I think, it’s an excellent day to work out the shawl for you, because with this weather, you can use some flower powe

Necessities:

  • 2 spheres ‘katia capri’ in the color coral and the color soft pink;
  • Crochet hook 3.5



Pattern:

Make a chain of 58 + 2= a chain of 60

Row 1: In the fourth chain from the needle, you crocheted a double crochet (dc) . Crochet, to the end, in each stitch 1 double crochet (sc) = 58 double crochet

Row 2:  2 chain (=1e double crochet) crochet another 3 double crochet, Crochet 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochet
Repeat from – until the last 3  stitches, crochet in the last 3 stitches 1 double crochet (dc)

Row 3: 2 chain (=1e double crochet) crochet another 3 double crochet, Crochet 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochetRepeat from – another 7x. Crocheted in the next 3 stitches 1 double crochet (dc) 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochet, **
Repeat from **- until there are 3 stitches left over, crochet 3 double crochet.

Row 4: 2 chain (=1e double crochet) crochet another 3 double crochet, Crochet 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochetRepeat from – another 6x. Crocheted in the next 9 stitches 1 double crochet (dc) 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochet, **

Row 16: 2 chain (=1e double crochet) crochet another 3 double crochet, Crochet 2 chain and skip 2 stitches and crochet 1 double crochet
Repeat from – until the last 3  stitches, crochet in the last 3 stitches 1 double crochet (dc)


Repeat row 1 t/m 16, you changes the color after row 16. I made eleven ‘flowerblocks’.

I made a drawing with the stitches clearly in view. I hope that this will help you follow the written pattern. In that way you ‘build’ your scarf. The color you changes after each flower block. 

 

Build a scarf

Change to the color “coral” and repeat tour 1t/m 16. This way you will build the scarf around and around. In my scarf, there are 11 ‘flower blocks’, which is enough for me for this beautiful summer shawl. Perhaps you hook more or less, you can fill in and color it as you like it!


Edges

For the edges, i crocheted on the sides of each row, 1 single crochet and 1 chain. In the coners i hooked 1 single crochet, 1 chain, 1 single crochet. Crochet this edge around the scarf and attach the wire.
Your scarf is finished! Of course you can still decorate more. Perhaps you like more things at the edges, fill it in as you like it and you have your own original summer scarf!

    Oh, wat een prachtige sjaal! En wat een duidelijke werkbeschrijving, wat lief dat je zoveel moeite doet voor ons, dank je wel! Ik ga het patroon opslaan, ik ben nu met een sprei bezig voor ons nieuwe huis. Maar de sjasl ga ik zeker maken, ik denk in mooie herfstkleurtjes (ik draag in de herfst en winter binnen ook graag sjaals…) Nogmaals bedankt en groetjes van Marjet!🍒
